To brew cascara in the best way and enjoy its full flavor, follow the instructions below:
- Prepare water: Boil fresh water, then leave it for a while to cool to the right temperature (90-95 degrees)
- Proportions: To brew cascara, the recommended ratio is about 1 teaspoon of dried cascara to 1 cup of water. You can adjust the proportions to your own taste preferences (we recommend 4-6 grams per 100 ml. of water)
- Infusing: Place the dried cascara fruit in a teapot or infuser. Then pour hot water over it and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes to release all the flavors and aromas.
